# Connect Instagram

> Link Instagram in the app via Meta Connect.

# Connect Instagram

Instagram is OnSet Digital’s **main channel for appointment setting**. You connect in the app with **Meta Connect** (Facebook Login). You never paste your Instagram password, and you don’t set up Meta Developer apps yourself — OnSet hosts that.

## Before you click Connect

Your Instagram must be:

1. A **Professional** account (Business or Creator — Meta’s account types)
2. Linked to a **Facebook Page** you admin

## In the app

1. Open **Settings**
2. Optionally add your **OpenAI key** if the app asks for one (powers automated DM replies)
3. Click **Connect with Meta**
4. Approve the permissions for your Page and Instagram account
5. You should see **Connected as @yourhandle**

## After you're connected

* Open **Inbox** and use **Sync** to pull conversations into OnSet
* Turn on automation only after your [Sales Playbook](/owners/write-playbook) is ready

## Privacy

OnSet Digital stores encrypted Meta **page tokens**, not Instagram passwords.

  After connecting, run **Inbox → Sync** once so conversations appear in OnSet.
